Kevin works at New Hope Academy which is a boarding school for high-risk boys. He is the evening supervisor and tries to find projects for the boys that will enhance their progress through the program when they are not in a counseling session or in chapel.
One of the projects Kevin has started at work is teaching the boys archery. Thanks to the generosity of one of our local archery shop owners and several men he has met through an archery website, www.bowsite.com, he has lots of nice bows, arrows, targets, etc donated. Several of the boys have really found an interest in it and after graduation some have said they wanted to continue shooting.

Gifts in the Mail
Hannah received a gift package in the mail today from her cousins Denton and Addison. She really enjoyed the wistle and the candy necklace, but she loved the flower fan. She used it to cool herself down, she used it to blow her dinner cool, and she used it to blow bits of paper around on the floor. She even went to bed with it. The battery will probably not last long if she keeps it up, but she'll have fun while it lasts.
She has been surpising me lately with her new found knowledge. She knows what a square, circle & triangle are. She doesn't know all the
numbers, but knows most in order up to 10. She has started saying, "bless you," when we sneeze. When we were driving the other day we drove up a hill and she said, "Up, up, up, up," and once we got to the top she said, "Yeah! Hold on, hold on tight!" When I stand on a chair she yells, "Careful, don't fall!"
The other day we were at the store and she heard a baby crying. She goes, "Awww, come on baby, come on," and pretends as though she was handed the baby and she pulled it close to her
chest and rocked it saying, "Awww, it's okay, it's okay, I'm sorry" and kissed it. Than she handedthe imaginary baby to me and said, "hug." So I hugged it and said "no more crying, it's okay." I handed it back to her and once she noticed she didn't hear the crying anymore she goes, "okay, there you go," and she releases the baby. I thought it was sweet she wanted to comfort the baby...I hope she is as sweet with her new brother or sister.
I haven't done another ultrasound yet. I wanted to do one today, but we were too busy. I'm a little afraid to try again because I don't want to get frustrated about it, but I am very anxious to know before I go down to Texas. So probably this coming week I'll look again. We'll see...I'll keep you all posted.
